Black Cultural Archives

Founded in 1981, the Black Cultural Archives’ mission is to collect, preserve and celebrate the heritage and history of Black people in Britain. They opened the UK’s first dedicated Black heritage centre in Brixton, London in July 2014 and is a welcoming space for everyone to learn, explore and become inspired by Black British heritage and history. The Ritzy Cinema

The Ritzy Picturehouse Cinema is located in Brixton, an architecturally unique venue that provides a café bar, restaurant and live music events alongside their multi-screen complex. Studio B.

Studio B. is a newly refurbished studio and event space that launched in Brixton in 2011. An extension of world renowned organisation B.Supreme, the first and only organisation in the UK which purely represents women within hip-hop culture, their studio offers a range of classes, courses and workshops in various dance disciplines. Danceaid

As Pioneers History Dance's official charity since our launch in 2013, Danceaid’s mission is to raise the UK and beyond to its feet dancing to make a difference to orphaned, poor and disabled children across the UK, Africa, and Asia. The Motion Dance Collective

The Motion Dance Collective (MDC) are a group of dancers, film producers and editors who work through collaboration to create innovative and ambitious dance works for film. It is the aim of MDC to promote the practice, analysis and writing of screendance to aid in the establishment of the form, as well as highlight the growth of hip-hop culture within the form. Holdin' Court

Holdin’ Court are a collective of creative individuals who come together to put on independent hip-hop, funk and soul events in London and the South East. Holdin’ Court has been operating for seven years on a non-profit basis. In late 2011, they were awarded a slot on the FM radio station 103.7 Kane FM and continue to feature at a number of festivals each summer. Bagsy Events

Run by UK based DJ Bagsy, these dance events focus on the aspects of showcasing, socialising and synergy, consisting of dance contests and parties. With two current club night residencies in London, Boogie On Down and On The Spot, these concepts challenge the classic battle system and allow dancers to explore different and original ways to express themselves to the music and get rewarded for it.
